Two years ago I was hired by DC Visonaries, a video production company, to help them with stills during the annual National Prostart Invitational with Ana Isabel Photography as my second photographer. Hundreds of high schoolers were flown into DC to compete for a chance at a scholarship to the culinary school of their choice.

Three full days of photographing and it ended up being one of my favorite events I’ve ever covered. The energy was nonstop and the dishes were original and creative. The contestants only had an hour to make stunning 3 course meal, and were judged on every facet of their performance.
