A few years back I was asked by Dorcas McWilliams, the owner of Sol Yoga (A Frederick -Based Yoga Company) to join them during a week long yoga retreat to a small beach town, Mancora, Peru, to document the trip itself (photo and video) and promote content for future retreats.

I ended up staying in Lima, Peru for a night before heading out to Mancora. We took a small plane to outside of Mancora, and a 3-hour van ride through an almost desert like landscape to the small town. I stayed in the guesthouse with a few other travelers around 45 mins from where the retreat was mostly taking place, KiChic. KiChic was a small boutique hotel on the ocean that most of the activities, meals, and gatherings took place.

Throughout the trip, I documented volunteering, dances, dinners, group projects, wildlife and landscapes. I am always grateful for chances to travel for work and Macora is definitely somewhere I would love to go back to.
